I don’t know anyone who lived in Cambridge that didn’t respect this couple. Our condolences to Steve, David, Paul and families. May she Rest In Peace especially now that she has joined Roger hand in hand.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Your parents were such a strong presence in Cambridge.  I will always remember that the house on the corner near the railroad tracks was the Hultgren house! Praying for God to comfort you during this time and to bring you joy as you remember your Mother and grandmother.

Upon hearing about Marietta, my thoughts went to the last time mom,I, and Lancer’s family went out to see your mom and dad . They both enjoyed our visit and seeing their great great niece and nephew, especially your mother! Marietta was so agile, she was on the floor with them- took Berkeley outside to show her the flowers , of course being a curious child she picked a few , which made your mom so happy ! They both loved their own grandchildren so , family was always the center of their lives as well as church and community. I always remember Uncle Rodger saying we help each other as he wasn’t moving the best and her memory was failing . They were so soo good to Great grandpa Ed and Aunt Pearl! Marietta had a great smile and laugh , she always showed a great interest in what everyone was doing, and anything Swedish!! I can vision her in heaven meeting up with all the Swedish relatives getting all the history on linage and who belong to who! Our sincere condolences to Steve, David and Paul and all their families. Just remember your mom is in a better place with her sweetheart!! Hugs. Cousin Nancy and family

Roger and Marietta were such pillars of faith in my church and community. It was taken for granted that they would always be there - front side and to the left on Sunday morning. My parents shared so many stories of times with this loving, Swedish Lutheran couple. There are many Cambridge Swedes waiting for you in heaven, Marietta.

I am sorry for the loss of your mother.  I can still see them in their usual pew at church.  Your Dad was such a dignified gentleman.   He was professional and kind.  Your Mom always had a smile on her face and always shared a greeting.  Remembering the ladies at church and their many activities, including my Mom Amy Olson, seems like the good old days.  There was always such a warm feeling in that church basement with everyone working together on whatever meal was being served.  So glad I grew up with those experiences and to have known your parents.  If you do have a memorial service at some point, I would love to be included!  May they be celebrating together in heaven!
