Kevin L. Costin 67, of Galva, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Kewanee Care Nursing Home. Cremation has been accorded. This spring a Celebration of Life will be held in Kewanee followed by a gathering in the Boundary Waters for his final resting place. Kevin took pride in being a loyal animal rescuer and would like for memorials to be made to the Henry County Humane Society in Kewanee or the donor may select their own. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Galva, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Kevin Lance Costin was born November 7, 1954, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of John E. and Elizabeth A. Eisiminger Costin. He was educated in Stark County and graduated from Toulon High School in 1972. He graduated from the DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago in 1975. Kevin was an electronic engineer where he traveled and sold systems to cities and countries all over the world. He last worked for Oracle Corporation, retiring in 2016. He enjoyed wilderness canoeing, collecting decoy ducks, water skiing and has always been an avid pinnacle player.
Those surviving are his father, John Costin, Toulon, his significant other, Luellen J. Liebelt, siblings, John Costin, II, Kewanee, Karen (James) Kadar, Plain City, OH, Eugene (Teresa) Costin, Galva, Yvonne Jannie (Theodore) Meissner, Kewanee, Daniel (Yvelice) Costin, Murfreesboro, TN, and Jennifer (Kurt) Schmitt, Richland, MI. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews along with his precious little loves Ivy and Chloe. His mother, a nephew, Cody Jannie, a brother-in-law, William "Tick" Jannie, and a sister-in-law, Sandra Costin preceded him in death.
