Kenneth W. O'Dell, Sr., 56, of Cambridge, died Thursday, January 23, 2020, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 29th at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services.  Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, with military services at the graveside.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Kenneth O'Dell Memorial Fund.

Kenneth Wayne O'Dell was born May 20, 1963 in San Luis Obispo, California, the son of Robert L. and Mary R. Pharr O'Dell.  He graduated from Huntington Beach (CA) High School in 1981.  His marriage to Dori Warner took place on October 20, 1995 in Provo, Utah.  Kenneth served in the U.S. Marine Corp for 13 years and then operated his own business, Eagle Mountain Concrete in Eagle Mountain, Utah from 2000 to 2007.  He then worked as a miner and operator for Tata Chemicals in Green River, Wyoming, and later for the City of Salt Lake, Utah, until retiring in 2018 due to poor health.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint in Kewanee.  When he lived in Eagle Mountain, Kenneth was a volunteer firefighter and EMT.  He loved working on old cars and enjoyed building improvements on his home and other structures.

Those surviving are his wife, Dori, five children, Kenneth W. (Cynthia) O'Dell, Jr., Heber City, Utah, Katie Marie (Kolby) Hilton, Kallie Rose O'Dell, Brianna Nicole O'Dell, all of Cambridge, Amanda (Jimmy) Jagard, Utah, and Jed Robert O'Dell, Cambridge.  Other survivors include ten grandchildren, a brother, Tom (Sue) Sturgeon, Garden Grove, CA, and a sister, Katherine (Tom) O'Dell, Idaho.  His parents and a brother, Jerry, preceded him in death.
