Buster Rodger "Rod" Egnor, 77, of Galva, passed away on June 16, 2022, at the Monmouth Nursing Home. Cremation has been accorded and a private interment of cremains will be in the Galva Cemetery. Any donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Galva, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Buster Rodger Egnor was born February 28, 1945, in Alkol, West Virginia, the son of Chris and Ivory "Iva" Breedlove Egnor. He was educated in West Virginia schools. His marriage to Pearl E. George took place on December 2, 1967, in West Virginia. She passed away on April 7, 2012. He worked at the Galva Foundry for many years until it closed. Rod loved camping and fishing. He was quite the handyman and enjoyed making various items for friends and family.
Those surviving are two stepdaughters, Rose (Burgess) Langdon, Oquawka, Illinois, Rita (Keith) Cowdery, Live Oaks, Florida, a step granddaughter, Kelli (Kevin) Cowdery-Tully, Woodbury, Georgia, and a step grandson, Gary Bates, Jr., Galva, and three step great grandchildren. His parents, wife, and four siblings preceded him in death.
