Wesley Barron

Wesley L. Barron died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Sheffield at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 80 years old.

Wes was born November 17, 1941 to Esther M. (Jackson) Barron and Jack M. Barron in Temple, TX. He graduated from Sheffield High School in June 1960 and went into the Air Force in July 1960 for four years. He married Beverly (Harding) Barron on July 7, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV. Wesley worked most of his working career at LTV in Hennepin. After retiring, he drove semis.

Wesley sat as a Village of Sheffield Trustee for several years. He loved being outside and spending time having coffee and talking to friends. He especially loved going to the Red Apple in Kewanee for breakfast and coffee everyday with friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Beverly. Also surviving are 7 children: Todd Barron, San Francisco, CA; Jason Barron, Sheffield; Krystal Barron, Sheffield; Diana Davis, Sheffield; Theresa Davis (Chad Overman), Swisher, IA; Jamie Bickett, Peoria; Jennifer Taylor (Adam), Kirkland, IL; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Roy Wheaton; and brothers, Harry W. Barron and John T. Barron.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 13th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Sheffield. Following the visitation the family invites you to join them for dinner and continued remembrances. The family ask that you dress casually for the visitation in honor of Wes. Following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to Friends of Strays, Princeton.
