Virginia Marie Vincent was born August 6, 1944 in Geneseo, IL the Daughter of Wayne and Vivian Larson Vincent. She was named after her mother's twin sister. Ginny was educated in Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1962, where she was voted Homecoming Queen her senior year. She shared many happy memories of growing up on a farm, high school friends and drag racing her car. After graduation, she worked at People's National Bank in Kewanee. On December 28, 1963, Ginny married her high school sweetheart, Richard Nelson, in Cambridge. The couple lived in Carbondale, Illinois and Ames, Iowa while Rich was attending college and then settled in rural Cambridge where they have lived ever since that time. She liked to watch westerns, especially including John Wayne, and true crime shows on TV. Her memberships included the Cambridge United Methodist Church and Valley View Club of Cambridge.
