Terri Wood

There is a celebration in heaven as Terri L. Darnell Wood, 50, of Cambridge, entered into her eternal reward on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon       Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the Cambridge United Methodist Church.  Rev. D. K. Grooms and Rev. Dr. Christopher Ritter will officiate.  Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge.  Visitation will be from 10 to 12 Wednesday morning at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Terri Wood Memorial Fund.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Terri Lynn Darnell was born July 20, 1966 in Rock Island, the daughter of William and Karen DeShane Darnell.  She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1984.  Terri went to LRM College in Litchfield, IL where she received her training as a missionary.  She went to India, Africa, and Spain with her missionary work.

She was a member of the Cambridge Church of God, serving on the praise and worship team and also as the events coordinator.  Terri was a true woman of God.  She was always helping any way she could.  Her kids were her life.  She cherished being a mommy.

Those surviving are her three beautiful children, John, Joezett, and Raynesha, her father, William Darnell, Cambridge, a sister and brother-in-law, Jodi and Jeff Waldo, Geneseo, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Paula Darnell, Ohio, Scott and Kim Darnell, Ohio, and Gordon and Annie Darnell, Cambridge.  Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  Her grandparents and her mother, Karen Darnell, preceded her in death.
