Ryder Travis Schnowske was born January 6, 2004 in Rock Island, the son of Travis and Deyonne Lindbeck Schnowske. He was educated in Cambridge schools and had just recently completed his freshman year at Cambridge High School. He loved going to school to be close to his friends and especially liked Spanish, math, woodworking, and cross fitness classes. Ryder enjoyed riding his pit bike over to see his cousins, Kash Schnowske and Weston Brown, and practicing motocross with Cameron Campbell.
His love was motocross racing and his goal was to become a professional racer. He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and the District 17 Chapter. Ryder was in the process of qualifying for the Loretta Lynn Amateur Nationals when he went down in the second lap of the race. He was in a qualifying position and earned his ticket because he was in the top six racers out of a field of 80.
Those surviving are his parents, Travis and Deyonne Schnowske, Cambridge; a sister, Marisa Schnowske and a brother, Wade Schnowske, both at home; his paternal grandparents, Larry and Norine Schnowske, Cambridge; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Joyce Lindbeck, Coal Valley; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His great grandparents preceded him in death.
