Roger D. Conrad, 81, of rural Cambridge, passed away on November 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Graveside committal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 10th, at Liberty Cemetery, rural Atkinson. Rev. Andrew Christman will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to State Road Community Church or the Bishop Hill Antique Agriculture Association. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Roger Dean Conrad was born October 15, 1940 in Kewanee, the son of Lloyd and Frances Fickling Conrad. He was educated in Bishop Hill and Galva schools and graduated from Galva High School in 1958. His marriage to Lynn K. Robinson took place on August 6, 1961 in Burns Township. She passed away on June 19, 2006.
His memberships included State Road Community Church, rural Cambridge, and the Henry County Farm Bureau. Roger was a lifelong farmer, and he was always involved in the family farming operation. He also raised hogs and he would tell people that he didn't do that because he had to, he did it because he like to.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Cindy Conrad, rural Cambridge, Craig and Kaleena Conrad, rural Galva, ten grandchildren, Lyle, Jake, Grace, Dustin, Abby, Victoria, Corbin, Carter, Logan, and Brady, and five great grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, JoAnn (John) McClelland, Viroqua, Wisconsin, and Karen Neumann, Galva. His parents and his wife preceded him in death.
