Roger L Betcher

Roger L. Betcher, 82, of Osco, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Kewanee Care Center.  Graveside committal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24th, at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Rev. Paul Henschel will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the Henry County Animal Shelters.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Roger L. Betcher was born February 17, 1941 in Geneseo, the son of Wilber L. and A. Linda Atwood Betcher.  He was educated in Osco and Orion schools and graduated from Orion High School in 1960.  His marriage to Karen Schnedler took place on March 25, 1987 in Osco.  Roger was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed collecting and restoring farm tractors.

Those surviving are his wife, Karen; sons, Kevin Betcher and Darrin Betcher; daughters, Joyce Betcher and Heidi Parlapiano; and step children, Janet Smart, Susan Streat, Sherry Streat, and Michael Streat; and a brother, Ival Betcher.  Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  His parents and a sister, Shelby Miller, preceded him in death.
