Richard D. “Danny” Doenitz, 68 , a resident of Royal Oaks in Kewanee formerly of Geneseo and Bloomington, IL died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Kewanee Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, May 24th at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, IL. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Geneseo is assisting with arrangements.
Danny was born May 21, 1943 in Bloomington, IL the son of Gus and Muriel (Wolfe) Doenitz. He enjoyed playing card and scrabble and was a good story teller. In his younger years he was know as Dan Dan the Yo-Yo Man.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Linda Doenitz, Bloomington. Nephews Matthew and Thomas Doenitz and friends.
