Raymond Herring

Raymond E. Herring, 60, of Cambridge, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, in the Emergency Room at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23rd, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services.  Rev. Randall Mullin will officiate.  Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Raymond Herring Memorial Fund.

Raymond Edward Herring was born January 27, 1961 in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Walter and Helen Clark Herring.  He was educated in AlWood schools.  Ray was a carpenter and worked in the home construction industry.  For the last 20 years he has been employed at CSI Homes in Cambridge.  He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, canoeing, western movies, and cooking, but more than anything he loved his family, and never met a stranger.

Those surviving are his spouse, Tracey Vinavich, his children, Todd (Shonna) Herring, Cambridge, Nikki Ibold, Alpha, Raelynn (Mat) Keller, Alpha, Erin Herring, Colorado, and Cody Stiner, Ray Herring, Jr., Andrew Herring, and Chase Herring, all of Cambridge, grandchildren, Reed and Tess Herring, Andover, Ethan, Avery, and Aiden Fabiano, Brighton, CO, Gemma and Scarlett Keller, Alpha, and Lillie Herring, Arvada, CO.  Other survivors include his mother, Helen Herring, Champaign, IL, his siblings, Ed (Rose) Torrence, LaHarp, Irene Wadhams, Champaign, IL, Garnet (Phil) Babcock, Oklahoma City, OK, Donnie (Lori) Herring, Cooks Mills, IL and Joe (Vittoria) Herring, Ophiem, and several nieces and nephews.  His father, brothers, Ed Torrence, Joe Herring, and a nephew, Steven Wadhams, preceded him in death.
