Paul Secymore

June 4, 1955 — January 1, 2015

Paul Secymore, 59, of Cambridge, died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5 th , at the Cambridge United Methodist Church.  Rev. David Joyce will officiate.  Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Cambridge United Methodist Church or the Cambridge Fire Department.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Paul Eugene Secymore was born June 4, 1955 in Rock Island, the son of Harold and Viola (Osborne)                        Secymore.  He was educated in Sherrard area schools and graduated from Sherrard High School in1973.       His marriage to Joni L.Vincent took place on July 17, 1976 in Cambridge.  He worked for his father-in-law, Hal Dean Vincent, and his brother-in-law, Bennett Vincent, in their farming operation for 28 years.  He most recently worked for H. Coopman Trucking in Moline.  Paul was a member of the Henry County Farm Bureau and a former member of the Cambridge Fire Department.  He enjoyed his grandchildren.

Those surviving are his wife, Joni, a daughter, Jessica McGrath, Knoxville, IL,  a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Molly Secymore, Cambridge, six grandchildren, Jude, Kane, and Cole McGrath and Malcolm, Marshall, and Meredith Secymore.  Other survivors include his mother, Viola Secymore, Geneseo, a sister, Sheila Brayton, Swedona, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas (Cindy) Secymore, Geneseo, and Roger (Robyn) Secymore, Swedona.
