Pam Wieneke

Pam L. Wieneke, 85, of Geneseo, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Good Samaritan, Geneseo.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, 225 E. Park St., Geneseo.  Rev. Bruce Bergthold will officiate.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday prior to services at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Pam Wieneke Memorial Fund.

Pansy Lee “Pam” Moore was born July 15, 1931, in West Frankfort, IL, the daughter of Simeon and Virginia Mae (Knott) Moore.  She graduated from West Frankfort High School and married William Robert Murphy in 1950 in West Frankfort, IL.  He died in 1990.  She later married Lauren “Larry” Wieneke on October 13, 1993 in Geneseo.  He died on February 18, 2007.  In her earlier years, Pam had worked at Rock Island Elks.  She was a member of the Country and Western Music Association, Geneseo Moose Lodge, and First Congregational Church, Geneseo.  She loved to cook and was known for feeding all the kids in the neighborhood.  Pam loved to dance and that is where she met her second husband.

Survivors include a son, Robert Roland (Lisa) Murphy, Rock Island; a daughter, Melody (Don) Nguyen, Geneseo; grandchildren, Tasha Murphy, Rock Island, Dustin Murphy, Bettendorf, IA, Kristen Nguyen, Ames, IA, Kristopher Nguyen, Geneseo, and Keely Nguyen, Geneseo; great grandchildren, Isabelle,  Taylor and Lucas; a brother, Bob Moore, West Frankfort, IL; and special friends, Patty Ward, and Clarence “Rooster” Sletten.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a brother, John D. Moore; a sister, Opal Hunter; and a granddaughter, Kylee Lynn Nguyen.
