Nina I. Leander, 73, of Cambridge, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Rev. Todd Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Nina Leander Memorial Fund.

Nina Reilly was born February 27, 1940 in Cambridge, the daughter of Francis L. and Mabel M. Palmer Reilly. She was educated in Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1958. Her marriage to Robert Peters took place on December 19, 1965 in Cambridge. He died May 31, 1990. She married Vincent Leander on October 5, 1991 in Cambridge. He passed away January 3, 2009.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cambridge. Nina was employed for many years at the Henry County Health Department and later at the Henry County Highway Department until her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing, flowers, and picture puzzles.

Those surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lorraine Peters, Cambridge, two grandchildren, Robert E. Peters, III and Katy Peters, a stepson and his wife, Steve and Donna Leander, Davenport, three step grandchildren, Mike, Erica, and Alyssa, and four step great grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Eldon Atwell, Mary Jane and Mit Gilvin, Shirley Robinson, Joyce and Howard Becker, all of Cambridge, and Janet Reilly, Alhambra, CA. Her parents, her two husbands, a sister, Lucy Peterson, and two brothers, Edward and Wilbur Reilly, preceded her in death.
