Nancy C. Janson, 75, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her home. Cremation has been accorded and a committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 24th, at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Rev. David Joyce will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Nancy Janson Memorial Fund. Those wishing to attend the service should meet at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, 212 E. Court St., Cambridge, by 10:00 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Nancy Carol Clark was born September 5, 1941 in Geneseo, the daughter of Edward and Madelyn Hogren Clark. She was educated in Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1959. Her marriage to Clair "Skip" Janson took place on August 15, 1970 in Cambridge. Nancy worked as a court reporter for Judge Conway Spanton for 12 years. She then served as the secretary for the Cambridge Lutheran Church for over 20 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of the Cambridge Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading and traveling.
Those surviving are her husband, Skip, a son, Adam Lindquist, two stepsons, Rodney (Paula) Janson, Cambridge, and Scott (Katie) Janson, Cambridge, three grandsons, Reid Janson, Nick Janson, and Blake Janson, two granddaughters, Amelia Janson and Kourtnie Janson. Her parents, a son, Jade Lindquist, and a sister, Joyce Seitzinger, preceded her in death.
