Myrle Vanhyfte

Myrle Mable VanHyfte, 92, of Annawan died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 5th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Annawan, IL.  Rev. Terry Lancaster will officiate.  Burial will be in Annawan Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Myrle VanHyfte Memorial Fund.

Myrle Mable Sandberg was born June 23 1922 in Cambridge, IL the daughter of Elmer August Sandberg and Myrtle (Nelson) Sandberg.  She was raised and educated in Cambridge.  Myrle married Adrian VanHyfte on Jan. 23, 1942 in Kahoka, MO.  He died on Oct. 23, 1981.  Myrle was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm.  She had been a member of Henry County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Wilhelm, Sheffield, IL and Janet Brown, Quincy, a stepdaughter, Iona Cone´, four grandchildren, Amber, Edward, Lynnette, and Loretta; three step grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Barb Sandberg, Cambridge as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Ron Wilhelm, three sisters and four brothers.
