Michael L. Worthman, 72, of rural Cambridge, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at his home.  Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, July 11th at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Premiere Hospice.

Michael Lee Worthman was born May 15, 1943 in Moline, the son of Jimmy L. and Ella Mae Smith Worthman.  He was educated in Moline schools.  His marriage to Sharon Small took place on May 7, 1964 in California.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  Mike was employed at J.I. Case in Rock Island until the plant closed.  He then attended classes at Black Hawk College to be a computer robotic instructor.  Mike taught at Black Hawk College and also at John Deere in East Moline until retiring.  He enjoyed motorcycle riding, canning, building model airplanes, and trap and skeet shooting.

Those surviving are his wife Sharon, Cambridge, a son, Matthew Worthman (Marryann Phillips), Rock Island, a daughter, Pamela Worthman-Sandholm, Cambridge, grandchildren, Brandon and Jessica Sandholm, Amber and Sabrina Worthman, and a sister, Virginia Croman, Shawnee, Kansas.  His parents, a son, Christopher, a sister, and three brothers preceded him in death.
