Michael Walline

Michael A. Walline, 65, of Cambridge, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, with military services by Cambridge American Legion Post No. 417. Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Mike Walline Memorial Fund.

Michael was born August 4, 1947 in Geneseo, IL, the son of Richard H. and Lois Stevens Walline. He was educated in Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1965. He went to work at the John Deere Harvester Plant in 1965, and then served in the U. S. Army from 1966 to 1968. His marriage to Vicky L. Anderson took place on August 27, 1971 in Kewanee. He returned to Deere after his military service and retired on January 1, 1996. Mike was also a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Osco Community Church and a former member of the Galva American Legion Post. He actively supported the Moody Bible Institute and missionary work overseas. He enjoyed farming, traveling and his grandchildren.


Those surviving are his wife, Vicky, daughters and sons-in-law, Tami and Brian Wattenbarger, Phoenix, AZ, Kelsi and John Frajman, Millington, TN, a son and daughter-in-law, T.J. and Jenna Walline, Cambridge, grandchildren, (Jason) Blake Rahmus, Chloe and Claire Frajman, Josie and Jacob Walline, as well as Brandon and Brett Wattenbarger and Kelsey and Tristen Manasco. Other survivors include his siblings, Robert (Barbara) Walline, Cambridge, Marie (Darrell) Bast, Silvis, Richard S. (Threasa) Walline, Chillicothe, IL, and his father Richard H. Walline (who died March 11, 2013). His brother, Carl and his mother, Lois preceded him in death.
