Maxine Ritch

Maxine M. Ritch, 86, of Brighton, Michigan, formerly of Geneseo died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Caretel Inns of Brighton.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21 ^st at First United Methodist Church, Geneseo.  Rev. Dr. Christopher Ritter will officiate.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, 225 E. Park St. Geneseo.  Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Geneseo.

Maxine Higgerson was born December 13, 1927 in Elkville, IL the daughter of Luther and Leona (Russell) Higgerson.  She was united in marriage on October 20, 1946 to Dwight Ritch in Elkville.  He died on March 11, 2009.

Maxine was a homemaker and she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Geneseo and the UMW and enjoyed volunteering at the church.  She also enjoyed reading and playing cards, and was a member of bridge groups.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Neil Patterson, Pinckney, MI; grandsons, Michael (Wynne) Patterson, Pocatello, ID, and Brian (Kristina) Patterson Perrysburg, OH; and five great grandchildren, Ava, Brenna, and Kyran, and Evan and Kaitlin.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
