Mary Jo Rosenow, 68, of Sheffield passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family after fighting heart complications. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on July 24th (Saturday) at Sheffield United Methodist Church, Sheffield. Rev. Terry Lancaster will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be at a later date in Sheffield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mary Jo Rosenow Memorial Fund. Arrangement entrusted to Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Sheffield.
Mary Jo Hewitt was born September 10, 1952, in Kewanee, IL the daughter of Harvey M. and Katharine M. (Spratt) Hewitt. Mary Jo graduated from Western High School, Buda in 1971. On June 17, 1972, she married William “Bill” Rosenow in Sheffield. Bill died on February 1, 2017.
Mary Jo had been a cook for Western School District and Bureau Valley School District before retiring. She was a member of the Sheffield American Legion Auxiliary. Mary Jo was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed going to the Riverboat Casinos, garage sales, shopping, and baking and she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Jill (Bronco) Farwell, San Marcos, CA, Jennifer (Troy) Smith, Normal, IL and Lisa Rosenow, Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren, Madilyn, Brady, Westin, and William “Liam” and two brothers, Jim (Willy) Hewitt, Princeton and Tim (Robin) Hewitt, Sheffield
