Marvin L. Wexell, 86, of Cambridge, died Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Hillcrest Home, rural Geneseo. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Graveside committal services will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Memorials may be made to the Cambridge Fire Department or the Cambridge Ambulance Service.
Marvin was born October 15, 1927 in Cambridge Township, the son of Leonard and Hannah Anderson Wexell. He was educated in the Bishop Hill grade school. His marriage to Mary L. Baker took place on March 18, 1961 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She died June 13, 2009. Marvin worked as a repair parts shipper for John Deere Harvester for 20 years. His hobbies were collecting John Deere toys and woodworking.
Those surviving are a stepdaughter and her husband, Carol and Chuck Fulco, Medway, MA, two step grandsons, Charles Fulco and Cameron Fulco, both of Medway, two brothers, Chester Wexell, Orion, and Everett Wexell, Colona, his neighbor and caregiver, Chris Kane, and her sons, T. J., Travis, and Trevor, all of Cambridge. His parents, his wife, and three brothers, Eldon, Kenneth, and LaVerne, preceded him in death.
