Martha was born on February 29, 1932, in Lynn Center, IL, the daughter of Arland Seabloom and Martha (Sandstedt) Seabloom. She graduated from Orion High School in 1950. She married Stanley Sward on November 27, 1954, at the Swedona Lutheran Church in Swedona, Illinois.
She worked in the early 1950’s for John Deere Planter Works in Moline, and then was self employed as a reporter of debits and deeds in Henry County.
Her memberships included the Cambridge United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Cambridge, IL. Martha enjoyed her grandchildren, working in her flower garden, and collecting antiques.
Martha is survived by her husband, Stanley; three sons, Charles and his wife Rose of Middleburg, FL, Douglas and his wife Kathy of Midvale, UT, and Peter Sward of Kissimmee, FL; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren, brothers, John Seabloom of East Moline, IL, Arland Seablom of Orion, IL, Ted Seabloom of Lynn Center, IL; and sister, Ruth Vermost of Geneseo, IL. Also surviving are many nephews and nieces and their families.
