Marlene R. Foster, 70, of Osco, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Marlene Ruth Vinstrand was born October 22, 1942 in Moline, the daughter of Leonard L. and Florence V. Robertson Vinstrand. She was educated in Osco, Andover, and Orion schools and graduated from Orion High School in 1960. Marlene attended Black Hawk College in Moline. Her marriage to Gary J. Foster took place on December 31, 1962 in Pontiac, Michigan.
In her early years, she belonged to an Orchid club in Moline and trained and rode Arabian horses. Marlene was a former member of the Osco Community Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed making and selling crafts.
Those surviving are her husband, Gary, a daughter and son-in-law, Tamara Jo and Michael Foutch, Bellevue, Nebraska. Her parents and a sister, Mary Fleming, preceded her in death.
