M. Jane Lindquist

M. Jane Lindquist, 85, of Galva, died on Monday, April 10, 2023 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Galva.  Pastor Katie Gallagher will officiate.  Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be in Galva Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, Galva or the Henry County Humane Society, Kewanee.

Marjorie Jane Goodley was born March 29, 1938 in Kewanee, IL the daughter of James Glenn and Nellie Jane (Douglas) Goodley.  She was raised in Galva and graduated from Galva High School.  She then took her Nurses training at Augustana Lutheran College, Rock Island.  On February 10, 1971 she married John I. Lindquist in Toulon, IL.  John died on August 9, 2002. 

Jane had worked in nursing all her life having retired from the Henry County Health Department.  She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Galva.  Jane enjoyed game shows, knitting, cats, and collecting American flag memorabilia.

She is survived by two sons, Jerrod Lindquist, Dahinda and Joe Lindquist (Tabitha Brainard) Pekin; and three grandchildren, Kelsey Lindquist, Austin Lindquist and Duncan Lindquist.  Her parents, husband, a brother, John “Jack” Goodley, and a sister, Mary Jean Stephenson preceded her in death.
