Loretta Wiley

Loretta N. Wiley, 92, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Hammond-Henry Hospital Long Term Care in Geneseo.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services.  Rev. Jim Aniol will officiate.  Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Loretta N. Hampton was born January 4, 1927 in Kewanee, the daughter of Edward A. and Rose N. Curl Hampton.  She was educated in Wethersfield schools.  Her marriage to Lawrence F. Wiley took place on February 17, 1951 in Kewanee.  He passed away July 1, 1981.  She was a homemaker and her hobbies were crocheting (which she taught her daughters), country dancing, puzzles, and playing Yahtzee.  Loretta was a member of the Mississippi Valley Country & Western Music Association.

Those surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Larry Lorente, Oak Park, IL, Barb and Bill VanDeVoorde, Plano, TX, five grandchildren, Amanda Saxby and her husband Jon Young, Paul Saxby, Sara  VanDeVoorde and her husband Ryan Rogers, John VanDeVoorde, Eric VanDeVoorde, and three great grandchildren, Nathaniel & Maxwell Young, and Hannah Churchill.  Her parents, her husband, six sisters, and seven brothers preceded her in death.
