Lois L. Walline, 83, of Cambridge, died Friday, June 25, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse Moore Funeral Services. Rev. Steve Kettelkamp will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cambridge United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
The former Lois Stevens was born May 28, 1927 in Cambridge, the daughter of Percy and Clara Schnowske Stevens. She was educated in Cambridge area schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1945. Her marriage to Richard H. Walline took place on June 7, 1945 in Cambridge. Lois attended Black Hawk College, Moline, and received an Associate’s Degree in nursing. She retired from Kewanee Hospital in 1985 after working as a Registered Nurse for 25 years. Her memberships include the Cambridge United Methodist Church. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, and embroidering.
Those surviving are her husband, Richard, a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Darrell Bast, Silvis, three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Barbara Walline, Cambridge, Michael and Vicky Walline, Cambridge, Richard S. and Threasa Walline, Chillicothe, IL, four grandsons, Brian, Kevin, Travis, and Shawn, and six granddaughters, Angi, Viki, Tamera, Kelsi, Katina, and Crystal. Other survivors include five step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren, and a brother, William Stevens, Moline. Her parents, a son, Carl Walline, brothers, Percy, John, and Keith Stevens, preceded her in death.
