Laurel E. Seeley, 74, of Geneseo, IL, formerly of Salisbury, NC, and Sugar Grove, PA went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from her home in Geneseo. Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Geneseo is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Laurel Elizabeth Duell was born February 25, 1945 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of Theodore and Gly (McNitt) Duell. On May 30, 1969 she married Rodney L. Seeley in Lander PA. He died on December 23, 2018. Laurel had worked as the office manager for the Boy Scouts of America, Chief Cornplanter Council in Warren, PA, for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved horses and dogs.
Survivors include sons, Shane (Christine) Seeley, Geneseo, and Rodney "Ron" Seeley, Jr. and partner, Kim, Youngsville, PA; daughters, Kim (David) Whiteman, Warren, PA, Penny (Steven) Rex, Youngsville, PA, and Tammy Nelson, Youngsville, PA; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce (Gene) Wilson, Sugar Grove, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Rod.
