Judith M. Hancock, 71, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at UnityPoint Health  - Trinity Rock Island.  Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 5th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services.  Private committal services will be held at a later date at the Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Judy Hancock Memorial Fund.

Judith May Anderson was born May 24, 1945 in Moline, the daughter of Kenneth and Mildred Swanson Anderson.  She graduated from Orion High School in 1963 and attended the Moline Institute of Commerce.  She married Michael L. Brown, and they later divorced.  Her marriage to Jim L. Hancock took place on May 9, 1981 in Swedona.  He died September 30, 2016.  Judy retired from John Deere Construction Equipment Company after 25 years.  She then worked part time for the Rock Island County Farm Bureau for five years.

She was a member of Valley View Country Club in Cambridge.  Judy enjoyed her dear family, such special friends, her flower garden, knitting, and adventures of all her travels.  Her favorite place was the gulf coast, where she visited with God and all of his glories of nature.  She found such peace there with long talks with the Lord!  Swedona Lutheran Church  always held such a special place in her heart as the Anderson families home church.

Those surviving are her son, Derick H. (Heather) Brown, Orion, a granddaughter, Jenna Woolley, Orion, and a sister, Shirley (Gene) Brown, brothers-in-law, Gary (Chris) Hancock, John Hancock, and a sister-in-law, Joni Hancock Vincent, all of Cambridge.  Other survivors include 11 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and great nephews.  Her parents, her husband, a sister, Bonita J. Lindstrom, and a brother-in-law, Jeff Vincent, preceded her in death.
