John C. Weber, 56, of Bartlett, IL formerly of Sheffield died Thursday, April 18th in Hospice Care in Crystal Lake, IL. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at First United Church of Christ, Sheffield. Rev. Jane Courtright will officiate. Private inurnment services will be held at Sheffield Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Church of Christ, Sheffield or to the John Weber Memorial Fund to be used to benefit wildlife.
John was born August 8, 1956 in Kewanee, IL the son of Clarence J. "Jack" Weber, Jr. and Darleen Langhoff Weber. He graduated from Western High School in1974 and attended Western Illinois University. He married Deborah Kopp on Nov. 9, 1985 in Sheffield. She survives. John had worked at Butler Co. in Peoria and then at the Chicago Stock Exchange. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, hockey and entertaining with humor.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Weber; his mother, Darleen Weber, Sheffield; sisters, Gretchen Weber, Chicago, Kristin (Mike) Wagner, Troy, IL, Anne (Dave) Cook, Coon Rapids, MN; and brother, Ronald (Tammra) Weber, Prairie Grove, IL. Also surviving are nephews and nieces, August Wagner, Matthew and Nathan Cook, Scott Weber and Nicole Egan , Tyler and Travis Vandermeersch and Justin and Julia Kopp; and aunt and uncle, Jean and Ken Zimmerman, Palatine, IL. John is also survived by his beloved parrot, Johnson who now is in the loving care of special friends Mark and Sue Raleigh and their dog, Mabel. He was preceded in death by his father.
