John Robert Hunt

John R. Hunt, 75, of Cambridge, died on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30th in Western Township Cemetery, Orion.  Pastor Lisa Unger will officiate.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting with services.  Memorials may be made to March of Dimes or Childrens Therapy Center of the Quad Cities. 

John Robert Hunt was born September 20, 1947 in Elgin, IL the son of Lawrence H. and Dorothy Marie (Lashbrook) Hunt.  John graduated from Moline High School in 1965, Moline Institute of Commerce in 1967 and from Hamilton Technical College in 1988.    John had worked for the Quad City Times for 25 years and for the Rock Island Argus for 19 years as a contract hauler.  He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and was an avid sports fan.

John is survived by friends.
