Joanne Talbot

JoAnne K. Talbot, 80, of Geneseo died Thursday, February 09, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, 225 E. Park St., Geneseo. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Pastor Joe Kobernat will officiate. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals.

JoAnne Katherine Powers was born Oct. 4, 1931 in Geneseo the daughter of Wallie and Bertha (Heller) Powers. She married Donald L. Talbot on Nov. 28, 1946 in Geneseo. He died on March 15, 1997. JoAnne was a member of Eastern Star. She loved doing yard work and volunteering in the Share program and at Hillcrest Home.

Survivors include a daughter Jeane Marie (Robert) Laskowski, Hawaii; son, Donald L. (Marlene) Talbot, Jr., Davenport, IA; 4 granddaughters; a grandson; 10 great grandchildren; and brother Paul David Powers, Geneseo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Harold, Don, and Jim; and sister Pat.
