J. Gayle Weber

Gayle Weber, 84, of Geneseo died on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 29th at Grace United Methodist Church, Geneseo. Rev. Melva England will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, Geneseo. Private interment will be in Liberty Cemetery, rural Atkinson. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.

Janet Gayle Egert was born June 17, 1934 in Geneseo the daughter of C. Robert and I. Mabel (Clark) Egert. She was raised and educated in Geneseo graduating from Geneseo High School in 1952. On June 6, 1954 she married Dean E. Weber at Grace E.U.B. Church, Geneseo. He died on August 20, 2005. Gayle had worked at McNamara’s 5 & 10, Geneseo, helped with the books for her husband’s business, Dean’s Shell Service, Geneseo, and worked and retired from Farmers National Bank, Geneseo. Memberships include Grace United Methodist Church, Azure Circle at the church, and Card Club. She enjoyed flea markets, mystery bus tours, and camping.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy (Art) French, Colona and Colleen “Connie” (Micah) Anderson, Cambridge. Grandchildren, Angela French, Corbin (Melissa) Shipp, Lacey (Bob) Burris, Ariel French, Jesse (Stacy) Brobston and Johanna Williams; 14 Great Grandchildren, Jordan, Jameson, Keegan, Gavin, Easton, Declan, Seth, Sarah, Ben, Devin, Izabella, Paizley, Milla, and Hunter; and her sister, Clarice Massingill, Geneseo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dean.
