Jeffrey Vincent

Jeffrey A. Vincent, 51, of Cambridge, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at his home. Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11th at the Cambridge United Methodist Church. Rev. Steve Kettelkamp will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Memorials may be made to the Jeff Vincent Memorial Fund.

Jeffrey Allen Vincent was born on August 13, 1959 in Geneseo, the son of Allen Joe and Anna (Peters) Vincent. He was educated in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1977. His marriage to Joni Hancock took place on September 17, 1983 in Cambridge. Jeff worked for John Deere Harvester and Plow/Planter Works from 1977 to 1980. He worked for Russell Bjorling on his farm from 1981 to 1993. Jeff then worked for the township Road Commissioner and has served as the Cambridge Township Road Commissioner for the last ten years. His hobbies included bowling and grilling. He especially enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Joni; children, Amber Rae Vincent, Altona, Jake Allen Vincent and Taylor Lynn Vincent, at home; parents, Allen Joe and Anna Vincent, Cambridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Jon E. and Nancy Vincent, Irvington, IL; a sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Mark Carlson, rural Cambridge; six nieces and nephews and two great nieces. His grandparents preceded him in death.
