Jeffrey K. Johnson, 62, of rural Lynn Center, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Clarrisa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services.  Rev. Wayne Melaas-Swanson will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Cremation will take place after the services and a private graveside service will be held at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Osco-Andover Fire Department or the Alpha Boy Scout Troop 144.

Jeffrey Karl Johnson was born April 5, 1953 in Moline, the son of Carl  E. and Mae D. Swanson Johnson.  He was educated in AlWood schools and graduated from AlWood High School in 1971.

Jeff was a lifelong farmer and worked on the family farm in Lynn Township as well as doing custom work for local farmers.  He was previously employed as a truck driver for Borkgren Trucking and Blade Trucking.  Jeff was an avid dirt track car racing fan and a Rusty Wallace fan.  He really enjoyed fishing on Friday nights with friends.

Those surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Kenneth Baker, Aldrich, MO, and a brother, Bryan "Blinky" "Carrot" Johnson, rural Lynn Center, and two nephews, Andrew and Alexander Johnson.  Other survivors include an aunt, Elayne Hogan, East Moline, and an uncle and aunt, Vernon and Karen Swanson, Darien, IL.  His grandparents and parents preceded him in death.
