Janet Deblieck

Janet S. DeBlieck, 77, of Geneseo died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo. Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Monday, July 22nd at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, 225 E. Park St. Geneseo with graveside services to follow at Spring Creek Cemetery in rural Atkinson. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Janet Paxson was born April 1, 1936 in Annawan, IL the daughter of Orval and Goldie (Phillips) Paxson. She graduated from Geneseo High School and attended Western Illinois University, Macomb where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. Janet married Keith DeBlieck on Sept. 17, 1956 in Kansas City, Kansas. He survives. Janet had worked at Haff’s, King Kone, McNamara’s and Guzzardo’s all in Geneseo. She enjoyed collecting bells and anything to do with her grandchildren. She also loved to go out to eat especially with her friend Deloris Miller.


Survivors include her loving husband, Keith; son, Todd (Rhonda) DeBlieck, son, Tim (Leah Gustafson) DeBlieck, all of Geneseo, and daughter, Tracey (Bob) Blair, Edgewood, IL; Tracey’s family and Janet’s granddaughter, Nichole (Ryan) Davis, Indianapolis, IN with great grandsons, Keegan, Jace, and Gunnar. Todd’s family, Bryon (Tori) Talbot, Longview, WA and their children Riley and Kaitlynn, Derick (Melissa) Talbot, ElPaso, TX and their children Christopher, Dakota, and Andrew, and Trista (Matt) McMan, Colona; Tim’s family Edythe Gustafson, Geneseo and her son, Foster and Raymond Gustafson, Geneseo. Also surviving is her brother, Orval “Sonny” (Mary) Paxson, Venice, FL and a sister-in-law, Barb (Harry) Olsen, Bonita, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
