Jamie Marie Smutzer

Jamie M. Smutzer, 42, of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at her home after an extended illness, surrounded by her loving family.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services.  Pastor Greg Feulner will officiate.  Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery, rural Cambridge.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to her family.

Jamie Marie Streight was born May 26, 1981 in Geneseo, the daughter of Robert and Celia Giesler Streight.  She attended Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1999.  She received her Associate Degree from Black Hawk College in Moline.  Her marriage to David Smutzer took place on November 19, 2003 in Orion. 

She worked for over twenty years for Darling Ingredients as an office manager.  Jamie attended the Cambridge United Methodist Church and enjoyed bible studies and prayer group activities.  She was very much involved with her kid's activities at school as well as community activities in Cambridge.

Those surviving are her husband, David, three children, Adah, Arthur, and Martha Smutzer, all of Cambridge, her parents, Robert and Celia Streight, Cambridge, a sister, Crystal (Shane) Ewing, Taylor Ridge, nieces and nephews, Ethan Ewing and Jordyn (Trent) Jones, and great nephews, Lincoln and Ryatt.  Other survivors include brothers-in-law, Doug (Jennifer) Smutzer and children, Patrick Smutzer and Kylie (Joseph) Gastineau and children, Layton and Reece, Dennis (Angie) Smutzer and three children, Sarah (Justin) Maxwell, Josh (Shannon) Smutzer, and Maddie Smutzer, and Darrin (Susan) Smutzer, a sister-in-law, Denise (Matt) Melz and children, Emma and Eli Melz, and her mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Judith Smutzer.
