Hershel Barham

Hershel K. Barham, 87, of Cambridge, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the emergency room of UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.  Cremation has been accorded and there will be no public service or visitation.  A private family committal service will be held at a later date.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family.

Hershel Kenneth Barham was born September 3, 1927 in Herpel, Arkansas, the son of Andrew and Elizabeth Hinkle Barham.  He was educated in Herpel are schools.  His marriage to Alice Twitchel took place on September 5, 1964 in Galesburg.  She died May 7, 1998.  The couple operated the Andover Lawn and Mower Repair in Andover and then the A & H Sales and Service in Mendota.  They retired and moved to Cambridge in 1992.

Those surviving are three sons, Kenny (Debra) Barham, Osco, Lenny Barham, St. Louis, Daniel Barham, Orion, a daughter, Ruby Carlyle, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a special friend, Charlene Taylor.  His parents, his wife, two daughters, Kathy Crank and Shirley Barham, four brother, three sisters, and a half-sister preceded him in death.
