Helen Peterson

Helen L. Peterson, 90, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Hillcrest Home, rural Geneseo.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services.  Rev. Randall Swanson will officiate.  Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Cambridge Lutheran Church or Hillcrest Home.

Helen Louise Larson was born February 20, 1927 in Moline, the daughter of Carl L. and Nina T. Franzen Larson.  She was educated in Orion schools and graduated from Orion High School in 1945.  Her marriage to Glenn E. Peterson took place on February 27, 1948 in Orion.  He passed away on December 15, 1975.  Helen worked as an office secretary at Black Hawk College in Moline for several years until retiring.  She was a member of the Cambridge Lutheran Church.  Helen enjoyed cross word puzzles and reading.

Those surviving are a son, David Glenn Peterson, Galesburg, a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Donna Larson, Coal Valley, two sisters-in-law, Rose Larson, Red Wing, MN, and Eunice Anderson, Geneseo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Robert, Clayton, and Don Larson, preceded her in death.
