Florence Preston

Florence J. Preston, 86, formerly of LaFayette, died Sunday, November 20, 2016, at the Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Cremation has been accorded and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Florence Jane Kosier was born August 9, 1930 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of LeRoy and Jessie Hartman Kosier. She was educated in Savanna. Her marriage to Robert L. Preston took place on August 14, 1948 in Mt. Carroll, IL. He passed away November 28, 2002.
She worked at Empire Clothing Manufacturing in Kewanee from May 1969 until retiring in August of 1992. Florence enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing. She loved her great grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Those surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Clifford "Sonny" and Judy Preston, LaFayette, a daughter, Sharon Abernathy, LaFayette, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
