E. Jean Kane

June 1, 1941 — June 11, 2021

E. Jean Kane, 80, of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Unity Point Health - Trinity Rock Island.  Cremation has been accorded and a private committal service will be held on Friday at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge.  There is no visitation.  Memorials may be made to the Cambridge Fire Protection District.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Elnora Jean Cosner was born June 1, 1941 in Richland, Iowa, the daughter of Byrle L., Jr. and Delphia D. Cox Cosner.   She was educated in the LaFayette, Illinois area and graduated from LaFayette High School in 1959.  Jean was a secretary at the Henry County Farm Bureau in Cambridge and then worked as the office manager at Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance for many years.  She also worked at Borkgren Trucking and CSI Homes.  Her family was  her life, and she enjoyed gardening, baking, and making desserts for family gatherings.

Those surviving are two daughters, Sandy (Bruce) Hull, Cambridge, and Cheri King (Bill Gibson), San Antonio, Texas, a daughter-in-law, Chris Kane, Cambridge, seven grandchildren, Heather (Jarret) Pine, Andover, Adam (Renee) Hull, Colona, Sarah Gibson, Dallas, TX, Jason Gibson, Atlanta, GA, and T.J, Trevor, and Travis Kane, all of Cambridge.  Other survivors include six great grandchildren, Mason and Lillian Hull, Jackston and Dylan Pine, Sawyer and Harper Kane, and a sister, Jacki Meinders, Dunlap, IL.  Her parents, a son, Tim Kane, and a sister, Jolene Thurston preceded her in death.
