Dorothy Brown, age 90, formerly of Geneseo, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at The Paragon of Madisonville, KY.

Dorothy was born on January 2, 1931, in Hesperia, MI to the late Karl and Eupha Patterson Halbower. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1954. While in college she met her soon to be husband, George Brown, and soon after graduation they would be married. During her life, she was a housewife but also worked in retail as a type-setter. Dorothy loved to serve her Lord and enjoyed organizing Christmas programs, helping with VBS and jr church. While living in Princeton, KY, Dorothy attended Union Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Joy Gorski and husband Ted of Indianapolis, IN, Ruth Gerhardt of Geneseo, IL, and Melody Brown and fiancé Don Scattergood of Princeton; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George E. Brown; son, Mark Brown; one sister, Katerine Gotts; and three brothers, Norman, Byron, and Bill Halbower.

Visitation for Dorothy Brown will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton, KY.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 4th at 10:00 a.m. at North Cemetery, Geneseo.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with local arrangements.
