Donald Vyneman

Donald E. Vyneman, 80, of Sheffield died on Sunday, April, 24, 2016 at Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sheffield.  Father Mark Miller will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Sheffield.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.  Memorials may be made to Sheffield-Mineral Rescue Unit or to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sheffield.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.

Don was born December 12, 1935 in Concord Township, Bureau County, IL the son of Peter and Marjorie (Morman) Vyneman.  He graduated from Mineral High School in 1953.  On May 10, 1958 he married Marlene Driessens in Sheffield.  She survives.  Don had worked at Kraft Foods and then for many years at F.S. in Sheffield until retiring.  In his retirement he worked as a bailiff in Bureau County for several years.

Memberships include St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sheffield, Sheffield Knights of Columbus, Sheffield Lions Club, Hidden Lake Country Club, and the Mineral Boulders Club.  For many years Don had been active with the Sheffield Homecoming Association.  Don enjoyed, golfing, rolle bolle and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene; son, Gary (Darlynn) Vyneman, Newport Beach, CA, daughter Karen Keegan, McKinney, TX, and son, Thomas (Stacey) Vyneman, Brentwood, TN; seven grandchildren, Alexandria and Andrew Vyneman, Tyler, Allison, and Kyle Keegan, and Britton and Brynn Vyneman; and a sister, Mary Ann Dwyer, Pinellas Park, FL.  His parents and a brother in infancy preceded him in death.
