Donald Riordan Ii

Donald E. Riordan II, 49, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 30th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services.  Rev. David Joyce will officiate.  Burial will be at the Andover Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Donnie Riordan Memorial Fund.

Donald Edward Riordan II was born April 29, 1966 in Davenport, the son of Donald E., Sr. and Beverly Ann Oneyear Riordan.  He was educated in Orion schools and graduated from Orion High School in 1984.  His marriage to Deborah Ann Tittsworth took place on November 16, 1985 in Andover.  She passed away on July 6, 2001.  He married Carrie Ann Crouch on July 20, 2002 in Rock Island.

He had fond memories of yearly fishing trips to Orr, MN with his father and Jerry Tittsworth, Dave Billedo, Chad Hinze, and Jason Riordan.  Donnie truly enjoyed playing softball throughout his life, especially with all three of his children.  He coached Cambridge Youth Softball for both of his daughters.  Until ALS disabled him, Donnie worked for 21 years as a heavy equipment operator for Local 150.

Those surviving are his wife, Carrie, a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Des Riordan, Hemet, CA, two daughters, Jaclyn Riordan and Sidney Riordan, both of Hemet, CA, stepchildren, Kody (Megan) Nimrick, Hooppole, and Chelsey Nimrick, Colona.  Other survivors included four grandchildren, Aiden Venard, Kannon Venard, Kadie Riordan, and Elijah Nimrick, brothers, Archie Carpenter, Des Moines, IA, Ron Riordan, Maquoketa, IA, a sister, Lonnie Wood, Oxford Junction, IA, and his best friends, Dave Billedo and Jeff Crews. His parents and his first wife preceded him in death.
