VIEW FLORAL TRIBUTEDonald E. Riordan, 74, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at his home. Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 15th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Cremation will take place after the service. Visitation will be from 5 to 8p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Donald Riordan Memorial Fund.

Donald was born March 3, 1939 in rural Maquoketa, Jackson County, Iowa, the son of John and Gertrude Elliott Riordan. He was educated in rural Maquoketa schools. His marriage to Beverly Oneyear took place on September 5, 1964 in Rock Island. She passed away July 9, 2010. Don worked at the Cleveland Rock Quarry for 39 years and then was an over the road heavy equipment operator for the IUOE Union Local 150 in Rock Island. His memberships include the Moose Lodge No. 990, Geneseo, and Silvis Eagles Club, Arie 1839. He enjoyed card games, fishing, and the casinos.

Those surviving are, sons and daughters-in-law, Archie Carpenter, Des Moines, IA, Ron Riordan, Maquoketa, IA, Jerry and Beth Riordan, Davenport, Donald and Carrie Riordan II, Cambridge, and a daughter and son-in-law, Lonnie and Harold Wood, Oxford Junction, IA. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Jason, Jaclyn, Sidney, Kody, Chelsey, Alexandria, Gabrielle, James, Archie, Ron Jr., Chris, Josh, Jeremy, Tasha, Arther, Andrea, Trisha, Beth, Alex, a sister, Grace Daeg, Maquoketa, a brother, John Riordan, Baldwin, IA, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, especially Tommy "Log" Birch. His parents, his wife, a son, Dick, a great grandson, two sisters, and four brothers preceded him in death.
