Donald Bill

Donald Bill, 84, of Sheffield died Wednesday, March 6th at Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9th at Sheffield United Church of Christ. Rev. Jane Courtright will officiate. Burial will be at Sheffield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Sheffield with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Sheffield United Church of Christ.

Donald was born October 14, 1928 in rural Sheffield, IL, the son of Homer and Frankie (Fishburn) Bill. He was united in marriage to Janice Cockerill on February 3, 1999 in Las Vegas, NV. He farmed in the Sheffield area until retirement. Donald was a member of the Sheffield United Church of Christ, Walnut Masonic Lodge, Marlin Firearms Collectors Association, and a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed collecting antique firearms, and he loved local history.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Cockerill, Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
