Dan T. Anderson, 68, of Davenport, died Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life gathering will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 9th, at Montana Jack's in Moline. Private interment of the cremains will take place in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, at a later date. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Harvest Bible Chapel in Davenport or a charity of the donor's choice.
Danny Thomas Anderson was born June 10, 1950 in Geneseo, the son of Robert N. and Lois Phillis Anderson, Sr. He was educated in Cambridge and Orion schools and graduated from Orion High School in 1968. Dan attended Black Hawk College in Moline. His marriage to Pamela Bowers took place on May 21, 1972 in Orion. They later divorced.
He grew up on the farm, drove semis, and graduated into a successful nationally known car salesman. He never met a stranger. Dan was currently the service manager at Mississippi Truck and Trailer in Rock Island. He was a member of the Harvest Bible Chapel in Davenport, enjoyed socializing with friends and family and enjoying a Miller Lite. When asked, he was always "on top of the world".
Those surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and David Johnson, Viola, a son and daughter-in-law, Gabe and Shari Anderson, Yuma, TN, four grandchildren, Cathryn Albright, Nashville, TN, Seth Johnson, Viola, Chever Harkey, Ft. Steward, GA, and Shaelee Harkey, Viola. Other survivors include two brothers, Robert Anderson Jr., Andover, and Ronald Anderson, Lynn Center. His parents, an infant sister, Cindy Lou, and a granddaughter, Emily Johnson, preceded him in death.
