Caroline "Carrie" Blank

Caroline Mae “Carrie” Blank, 58 of Portland, Oregon died on Sunday May 29, 2022.   Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 25th (Saturday) at the Grace United Methodist Church, Geneseo.  Memorials may be made to Carrie Blank Memorial Fund.  Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Geneseo is assisting the family with services.

Carrie was born in Geneseo Illinois on April 28, 1964, to Dwayne and Amie Blank.  Carrie graduated from JD Darnell High School in 1982 and received her BA in Education from Illinois State University.  Shortly thereafter, she moved to Portland, Oregon and began a teaching career that spanned over three decades.  She was last employed by North Gresham Elementary School in Gresham, Oregon.

Carrie leaves behind her wife, Christine Mascal, of Portland Oregon, parents Dwayne and Amie Blank of Geneseo, brother, Ronald (Julie) Blank of Geneseo, sister Cindy (Tom) Hudson of Geneseo, brother Steve (Janet) Blank of Pensacola, FL, and sister Marcia (Bruce) Rarrick of Hernado, FL

She has 10 nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and nephew from her immediate family, and 9 additional nieces and nephews from her wife’s immediate family.

Carrie was a favorite aunt to all nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, as well as a favorite teacher to hundreds of students. She gave freely of her time playing games, being silly and fun.  She truly was a kid at heart and would make children smile when she did her Donald Duck impression.

Carrie loved being outdoors playing golf, skiing, participating in multiple team sports, gardening, and helping with farm work. She had a deep love for and kind heart to animals of all kinds.
