Bernadine Jones

Bernadine “Bernie” R. Jones, 89, a resident of Bettendorf Health Center, Bettendorf, IA, formerly of Geneseo and Hannibal, MO, died on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at UnityPoint, Trinity Health Center, Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, 225 E. Park St. Geneseo. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Memorials may be made to her family.
Bernadine Ruth Colliver was born December 6, 1928 in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Albert and Della Colliver. Bernie had worked for 20 years at Underwood Pet Corporation in Hannibal, MO. She had also been the caregiver for her son, Roger Lee Johnston who passed away on October 31, 1995. In 2000 Bernie moved to Geneseo to be closer to her daughter, her granddaughter and family. Bernie had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hannibal, MO.
Survivors include her daughter Debra Ann Craig, Quincy, IL; granddaughter, Kelly (Jeff) Bowling, Geneseo; four great grandchildren, Kayla, Emma, Alice Miller & Ellery Bowling, Geneseo; and a sister, Jean (James) McClintic, St. Joseph, MO. Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Roger, and a sister Edna.
