Barbara Bainbridge

Barbara M. Bainbridge, 80, of Cambridge, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 25th, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Deacon Larry Honzel will officiate. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Church.

The former Barbara M. Norquist was born November 5, 1929 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Sarah Goodman Norquist. She graduated from Kewanee High School in 1947 and attended the St. Francis School of Nursing in Kewanee, earning her certification as a Registered Nurse. Her marriage to Richard D. Bainbridge took place on June 16, 1951 in Kewanee. He died December 18, 1998. Barbara was employed at Hillcrest Home, rural Geneseo, retiring in 1987 after many years of service.. Her memberships included St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Cambridge, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, and Saturday road trips with her friends.

Those surviving are daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Teerlinck, Annawan, Susan Nelson, Annawan, Jane and Jason Crapnell, Cambridge, Janet and Dave Sharpe, Waterville, OH, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and brothers, Bob (Jeanette) Norquist, Hastings, MI, and Don Norquist, Ft. Myers, FL. Her parents, her husband, a daughter, Mary, preceded her in death.
